Hi Mado
Sorry for the delay in responding to your question - I've only just picked it up! I hope you've had a lovely Christmas and New Year holiday?

Yes, you can apply Curlformers by yourself and you can also ask a friend to help you. If your hair is really long, it's usually easier to get someone to help, especially with the back section. But experiment and see how you get on. They're easy to apply and once you get the knack, most girls seem able to apply them without help! If your hair is suffering from heat damage then you definitely need to find an alternative way of curling your hair. Applying them within 15 mins of washing your hair should be fine - the main reason for applying them to damp/freshly washed hair, is that they work on a 'wash and set' basis, so you apply them to damp hair and then let them dry (or dry with a hairdryer). This is how the curls are formed, rather than applying heat styling irons which cause so much damage. Does that make sense? Do email me sara@curlformers.com if you need any more help!

with best wishes

Hello Emily. We would recommend a Styling Kit for a full head of hair. There are 40 Extra Long and Wide in each Kit and two hooks. You could use your 12 Curlformers in a pony-tail, which would look cute too :)

I have 12 extra long and wide curlformers and I'm not sure if that's enough. My hair is pretty long and thin and it's dead straight. I've used only 12 before and I really like the results. However, I'm debating as to whether I should get another package. Please reply :)

Hi Jessica

Thanks for getting in touch. There are a couple of options that you could try depending on the length and thickness of your hair, to help you achieve Cheryl Cole volume and style. If your hair is really thick, we recommend using the Long and Extra Wide Curlformers, which you apply root-to-tip all over. The bigger the section of hair you thread through the Curlformers, the looser the wave/curl, so if you want a slightly tighter curl, take smaller sections of hair. Once hair is completely dry and you have removed the Curlformers, brush through to smooth the root area but don't take your brush right through to the ends, use your fingers to separate. Or if your hair is really long (up to 22") you could try the Extra Long and Wide Curlformers (or Long and Wide if it's a bit shorter). These will give you a tighter curl than the Long and Extra Wide Curlformers but you can brush through to loosen and the volume will probably last longer. Apply them root-to-tip all over and use the same technique - brushing hair at the root/parting area but don't take it right through to the ends, just use your fingers to separate. The more you brush, the less curl you'll end up with but you'll still keep the volume! You'll probably need to experiment but have fun and we hope this helps!

Hi! I would like to achieve a Cheryl Cole style with lots of root volume and big loose curls at the ends. Which curlformers would you recommend to achieve this look?
